Both the doctor and the staff were outstanding and helpful. Dr Wilkins is very knowledgeable and thorough. He asked all the right questions and involved me in my care needs and adjusted my medication to ensure that I am at optimum in my daily struggle with diabetes myelitis

Dr. Wilkins is very knowledgeable and has included me in decisions regarding my condition and treatment. He understands that I am the only person that can do what is necessary to help him get me better, and that if I am not able to understand what is going on, I cannot help myself, so he makes it clear what needs to be done and what needs to not be done.

Background
A graduate of Calhoun Honors College at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Dr. Wilkins earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He then completed his residency at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Wilkins most recently cared for patients of all ages at Lexington Family Practice Irmo.
Leadership
Dr. Wilkins is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the
American Medical Association, the American Medical Society for Sports
Medicine and the South Carolina Medical Association.
Medical Research
During his residency at AnMed Health, Dr. Wilkins pursued additional training in
musculoskeletal ultrasound and conducted a research study on
