Expertise

April has more than 20 years of experience in direct clinical care, chronic disease management and pharmaceutical medical education leadership. She recently served as a medical science liaison for U.S. Medical Affairs – Hematology with Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, she enhanced disease awareness, advocated for safe and effective medication use, supported clinical trials and ensured regulatory compliance.

Background

April graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and earned a master’s degree in nursing, specializing in family primary care, from Mississippi University for Women in Columbus. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center with additional certification in basic life support.
