William D. Altman MD
Director of Inpatient Medicine
Meet William D. Altman
I chose Family Medicine because I enjoy caring for patients across all stages of life and the opportunity to practice both inpatient and outpatient medicine. I chose Lexington because it is home, and I want to give back to the community that raised me.
Teaching has been a natural passion and something I have consistently gravitated toward. I especially enjoy teaching clinical and procedural skills to residents and medical students. Working as an Academic Hospitalist at Lexington combined my love of patient care and teaching while helping prepare the next generation of physicians to care for the community I am proud to call home.
