About the Scholarship
Overview
Providing financial support for those pursing an education in nursing or select Allied Health programs.
Who can apply?
- College Students
- Lexington Health Employees
Amounts Awarded
- Associates Degree Program — $2,000
- Bachelor's Degree Program — $4,000
- Graduate Program — $4,000
Award amounts will be reduced by half for those who graduate at the close of the Fall term (December or January graduates.
Reduced scholarship awards are available to Lexington Health employees enrolled part-time.
Eligibility Requirements
All Applicants
- Have a 2.8 GPA or higher for the most recent academic year
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or documented alien eligible to work in the United States
- Applicant, parent, or legal guardian of applicant must be a legal resident of South Carolina
Full-Time Nursing Students
- Enrolled full-time in a nursing program from an accredited college or university
- Entering your junior or senior year of college
Lexington Health Employees
- Enrolled full-time or part-time in a nursing program from an accredited college or university
- Enrolled full-time or part-time in a select Allied Health certificate, associate or bachelor's degree program

Application Process
Required Materials
- Complete Online Scholarship Application
- Complete Copy of Most Recent Academic Transcript (High School or College)
- Documentation Showing Full Admittance into a Nursing or Allied Health Program
Selection Criteria
The Lexington Health Foundation’s Board of Directors Grants Committee will review all applications. Consideration of applications will be based on financial need, academic strength of the applicant, work experience, volunteer experience, and extra-curricular activities. Applicants that are currently employed at Lexington Health will receive additional consideration.
Recipient Notification
Applicants selected to receive the scholarship are notified via email.
Scholarship Recipient Requirements
Recipients should be prepared to submit a photo of themselves for print and social media publications. Biographical information may be submitted and published alongside hospital publications and local media outlets.
