Paul H. Bornemann MD
Procedural Education Director
Meet Paul H. Bornemann
I chose family medicine because I wanted to care for people across every stage of life — from obstetrics to geriatrics — and build the kind of sustained relationships that make primary care meaningful. I came to Lexington for its community-focused culture and the chance to help build a residency program that trains compassionate, skilled physicians. I served as an Army physician before transitioning to academic medicine, and that experience shaped how I think about teaching: I believe in developing clinicians who are confident, evidence-driven, and genuinely present for their patients. There is no better work than helping a resident become the doctor they want to be.
