Carolyn R. Guilloud MD, FACP
Associate Program Director
Meet Carolyn R. Guilloud
I am a Lexington, South Carolina native and currently serve as Associate Program Director of the Lexington Health Internal Medicine Residency Program and adjunct faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. I am board certified in internal medicine and lifestyle medicine and am passionate about graduate medical education, mentorship, and training the next generation of physicians. I earned my undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the College of Charleston and my medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. I completed my internal medicine residency at Cone Health in North Carolina, where I served as chief resident and subsequently joined the teaching faculty. During my time there, I helped develop curricula, supported resident scholarship, and mentored physicians throughout their training. These experiences strengthened my commitment to helping residents grow into knowledgeable, compassionate, and confident clinicians. My husband is a software engineer, and we have two daughters, ages 5 and 7. Being back in my hometown while helping train future physicians makes this chapter of my career especially meaningful.
