You will spend 12 weeks in the operating room, rotating between different departments

Intraoperative Nursing 101
You will attend a hands-on program lead by OR mentors, focusing on the intraoperative nursing and care of the surgical patient.

Phase 2: Home Unit Placement
Upon successful completion of the unit orientation, you will be offered a position in the Operating Room.
Shift Details
You will be assigned a day or night shift, depending on staffing needs.
Phase 3: Professional Development Lectures
While working in the OR, you will attend four lecture classes to continue developing your skills.

Evidence-Based Project
At the one-year mark, you will complete an evidence-based (not research) project as a final assignment for your nurse residency.
Poster Presentation
With the help of your nurse manager and clinical mentor, you will prepare and present a poster of your project to the Unit-Based Practice Committee.
