Apply for a Nurse Residency
Phase 1: Nursing Practice Rotations
You will spend two weeks of orientation, followed by two five-week rotations within the physician network practices to help develop your critical thinking, ambulatory workflow and clinical judgement skills.

Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Practice Preferences
You will be asked to provide your preferences for rotations. Although we cannot guarantee a particular practice, we do consider future job openings and your preferences.
Phase 2: Physician Network Practice Placement
During week nine or ten, you will interview with managers of available practices for final placements.
Placement Details
Placements are dependent on practices having open positions and staffing needs.

Phase 3: Professional Development Lectures
While working in permanent practice, you will attend four lecture classes to continue developing your skills.

Evidence-Based Project
At the one-year mark, you will complete an evidence-based (not research) project as a final assignment for your nurse residency.
Poster Presentation
With the help of your practice manager and physician network residency coordinator, you will prepare and present a poster of your project to the Clinical Practice Committee.
